Community College Organizational Session: Teaching Issues, Teaching Opportunities, and Poster Session.

This discussion and poster session is for those who teach about plants in the community college curriculum. It is an informal BSA community college organizational session. The session panel, consisting of Jim Wandersee, Marsh Sundberg, Ethel Stanley, and Margaret Waterman will raise some salient community college teaching issues and identify some promising opportunities for those BSA members who teach in community colleges to collaborate and share strategies at BSA. The panelists will encourage and respond to questions from the audience. The intended outcome will be a general plan for a new community college teaching session, beginning at BSA 2010, organized under the BSA Teaching Section. The last 30 minutes of this session will be available for viewing and interactions centered upon investigative posters prepared by BSA members on teaching about plants in the community college.
