Conference Wide Barkworth, Mary [1]. Developing the US National Virtual Herbarium (USVH). Participants in Botany 2008 endorsed the goal of developing USVH through promotion of and collaboration with regional herbarium networks. This workshop will include reports on current activities; demonstration of effective digitization techniques that include information on hardware, software, and costs; a report on the US node to GBIF and its relationship to the project; and overview of other organizations, initiatives, and resources that might benefit those building regional networks as well as USVH; and establishment of goals for next year.
